Button! Thank Goodness for my Buttonhole foot! P.S. If you look closely, you can NOT see where I used stitch in the ditch to sew the waistband !! Tricksy, I know. |
My first fully lined skirt! |
Hand picked zipper. You can sort of see the inside part of the picked zipper. You can tell from the previous two photos, that the pick stitches on the outside are invisible. Thank-you Tasia for introducing me to this wonderful technique! |
Fresh flowers on my table. Also a small detail that makes me smile. |
What a gorgeous skirt! I absolutely love houndstooth prints. Well done on all the little details - your zip and lining look fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you commented on Debi's guest post on my blog today. Welcome to the sewing community! I look forward to following your blog! :)
Thank-you so much! I am so enjoying it! It is such a joy to be able to share with others the things that make me giddy! I really enjoyed your post and can't wait to read more as well!
ReplyDeleteNo way this is a 'plain old boring skirt'. Looks like you have done a brilliant job on it, particularly the lining - and love the flowers, too!!!
ReplyDeleteThank-you so much! I was so pleased with how the lining turned out. I was kind of flying by the seat of my pants, because there were no instructions for the lining. It turned out better than I imagined! Thank-you for your find comments, and thank-you for stopping by my lil' blog :) Hope to see you back.
